Google has offered access to Ebony magazine. The magazine was started by the late John H. Johnson in 1945, and since that time it has focused on offering insights and commentary into the African-American experience. The majority of the back issues of this magazine are available, and you can perform detailed searches within each issue. The “Browse all issues” allow you to view separate issues from the past six decades. Special features: the interactive “Places mentioned in this magazine,” and a “Key Terms” section which provides a brief summary of some of the places, events, and persons mentioned in each magazine.
